In our sessions, we will work together to create a coaching environment where you can thrive. 

We have an array of tools on our belt and getting to know you will help us decide which ones to use. Together, we will discover your strengths and over-all goals to establish where to begin our journey. Once we establish our starting point, our coaches will work to awaken the drive to propel you to the next level. Soon, you will have the courage to apply for that job, enjoy retirement, improve your current career, or whatever else has held you back.

Our Founder

Coach Carmichael

Coach Carmichael is the Founder and Lead Transition Coach.  She launched Adaptive Focus after experiencing the same struggles for which many of our clients seek help. An unfulfilling job and general lack of purpose landed her back in school to get a Master's degree and find a new career that sparked joy. In her first coaching class, she learned psychological theories and techniques that could help people find fulfillment in life, not expecting it to lead to her own fulfillment. The material resonated with her in a way nothing else had, and it was clear she had struck gold. She earned a Master of Science in Positive Psychology-Coaching from Life University and a certification in Compassionate and Integrity Training. She is also an Associate Certified Coach through the International Coaching Federation (ICF). Her life's mission is to partner with individuals to help them feel what she felt at that pivotal moment in her life: hope, empowerment, and purpose. As a coach, one of her favorite proverbs has new meaning. "The purpose of a person's heart are like deep waters, but one who has insight draws them out." Proverbs 20:5 (NIV)

Coach Carmichael is married with one son.  Family is a huge part of her life as she comes from a close-knit one.  Georgia has always been home, and she's lived in the Atlanta area for the past 20 years. In spare moments, she enjoys baking and watching Golden Girls. The biggest reward in her life is seeing clients flourish and knowing she played a small part in making a difference in her clients lives.
